UPDATE ON THE FARM

We have been VERY busy on the Farm over the past month. Dan Jarman and I added insulation to the new hen house to keep the girls warm in all this winter weather. We also built a great fenced compose area under the trap door used to push out all the chicken manure and bedding. I am so pleased with this very useful detail. Clean out is quick with a push broom. Dan kept the flooring, and the trim around the trap door smooth so VERY EASY. I am looking forward to using this rich compose soil this summer to grow lots of Heirloom Tomatoes, and vegetables.

I have carefully selected Heirloom Tomatoes for the garden this year. Cherokee Purple, Homestead, Morgage Lifter, Orange Flesh Purple Smudge to name a few. The Tomato garden spot is being enriched with compose, and soon to be fenced. I am so excited. Hope to see you all at Whole Foods in Cary, NC. and the Farmers Market.

I continue to be inspired by this peaceful wonderful place...HIGH GROUND FARM. Chicken scenes catch my eye and have to be put on canvas. These works are available at THE FARM SHOP.
